Hello everyone, today’s article is a translation of a blog post from Go! Princess Precure Series Director, Yuuta Tanaka 🦁! In this post, he talks about the 10th Dream Party, a recent celebration of the 10th anniversary of Go! Princess Precure which started in 2015 which is available to watch on YouTube until October 2026. He left Toei Animation in 2024 but still remains attached to the series, appearing as a Storyboarder on Wonderful Precure Ep.48 as Bon Kuramu 倉無凡
I know the people wanted lion content on Magical Stage and we aim to please our lovely audience!

So, right at the start of 2025, Producer Shibata invited me out for a New Year’s drink. 2025 marks ten years since Go! Princess Precure (GoPri) aired, and the topic came up: “We should do something for the anniversary.”
Honestly, saying “no” wasn’t even an option. That was the official start of the 10th Dream Party.

After that, the core member meetings kicked off to figure out what exactly we were doing. Since we don’t do this every year, unlike the live concerts or Thanksgiving events, there was no template to follow. We were basically flying blind. Plus, everyone was so busy with their current main jobs that we could barely find time to meet. We kept chipping away at it during tiny gaps in our schedules, and finally, we got a plan together.
We decided on a streaming program instead of a live event. It would be two parts: a talk segment and a brand-new audio drama. There were a few reasons for this, but the biggest one was that I wanted every fan to be able to enjoy it equally, no matter where they were or what their schedule was. Live events are great, but they naturally create a different experience for people who can’t make it. Streaming levels the playing field, so that’s what we went with.
As for the audio drama… look, even if you don’t listen to it, it doesn’t change the main story of the anime. But I wanted it to be a “thank you” to the fans who have loved the show all this time.
By the time we got the official green light after all the coordination, it was already almost summer. From there, it was a total whirlwind. By the time the scripts were done and we announced it on social media, it was already early autumn.
Then came the voice recording, the first time in 10 years!

By focusing on an audio drama, we actually managed to get most of the original cast back together. I don’t think we could have pulled that off if it had been a live stage event. The world of GoPri isn’t just the four main girls; it’s all the characters around them that make it feel real. Being back in that booth felt like jumping back in time. It was such a strange, happy vibe.
If I’m being greedy, I wanted to call in even more of the recurring side characters… but if I started doing that, where would it end? It would’ve been impossible to be “fair” to everyone, so I had to make the tough call to stick to the main regulars. To everyone we couldn’t include: I’m really sorry.
We recorded the talk segment around the same time. The main cast, Shimamura-san (Cure Flora), Asano-san (Cure Mermaid), Yamamura-san (Cure Twinkle), and Sawashiro-san (Cure Scarlet), shared so many fun memories and so much love for the series. Getting to sit there with Jin-san and listen to them firsthand was pure bliss. (And thanks to the PreCure suit actors for showing up, too!)
You might have guessed from the opening and epilogue, but we actually aimed to release this by Christmas 2026 (build note: I think he meant 2025 here). Things got delayed for various reasons, and it ended up sliding into spring. We technically passed the 10th anniversary and hit the 11th… but hey, it ended up lining up perfectly with the season of the final scene and Haruka’s birthday. Total coincidence, but I’ll take it!
Because we kept you waiting, I think we managed to push the quality and volume even higher than we first planned. I wonder how the fans felt watching it? If you enjoyed it, that’s all that matters to me.
The archive will be up for a while longer. If you haven’t seen it yet, or if you’re a new fan just starting GoPri, I hope you enjoy it as a little “bonus track” to the main series.
This project happened because of so many people.
Producer Shibata, who started it all and managed the whole mess; Producer Kamiki and the planning team; Kameyama-san and the editing crew who turned my scattered ideas into a finished program; Jin-san, who turned my rambling thoughts into a script; and Nakatani-san, who drew a ton of illustrations (including the key visual) despite being super busy. Honestly, without those illustrations, this wouldn’t have worked. (Since the deadline got pushed back, I “evil-ly” used that extra time to ask for even more drawings. Sorry!)
Thanks also to the color, effects, and art teams, the sound crew I’ve known since Precure All Stars New Stage F, and Takaki-san for the music that defines this world. And of course, the cast, who gave performances just as amazing as they did ten years ago.

Most of all, thank you to the fans who have loved Go! Princess Precure all this time. Because of you, we were able to show a little glimpse into the future of these characters. I planted these “seeds of emotion” hoping that people who have loved the show for 10 years will keep loving it for the next 10.
Getting to spend this much time thinking about GoPri again was just pure fun. I feel like this might be the first and last time we can do a project this big for just this one series. It was a miracle that all the gears clicked into place this time; it’s definitely not something to take for granted. (Every series has its own situation, so please don’t compare!)
(By the way, I have zero to do with the merch or events side, but I’m personally waiting for Yui, Kanata, and the Fairies’ acrylic stands!)
Even so, if the stars align again someday… I’d love to do it all over again. I can’t thank everyone enough.
Go! Princess Precure is a story about moving toward the future. Even when we look back with nostalgia, we keep moving forward: strong, kind, and beautiful.
Anyway, see you next year for the “1st Anniversary of the 10th Dream Party!” (Just kidding, that would ruin the sentiment).
Gokigenyou! (Good day to you!)
